Learn the History of the Kingston (NJ) Area…
The Kingston Historical Society wants YOU to get familiar with our corner of New Jersey. We have reserved a hall for three Sunday afternoons this winter, one per month, and are creating three talks for each session!
Who is this for?
This is a chance to meet neighbors in a relaxed atmosphere while learning three fascinating stories of the Kingston area– western South Brunswick, southern Franklin and the Kingston Mill Historic area of Princeton.
Have you heard the many stories of our 300 year old village, its prehistoric roads, and 225 year old stone bridge? Have you heard about Kingston’s innovations? Kingston’s own soft drink?
Some of the folks in town have been Kingstonians for generations– but most of us moved here as adults. We never knew Kingston had two railroad stations and an office on the first telegraph line in central New Jersey (The world’s first “inter-net”!)
Afternoon talks will be short, 15 minutes each, and each will cover one aspect of Kingston History. After the talks there will be time for tea and conversation with the presenters.
